About me

I like trying to solve hard problems, especially with large amounts of compute.

My last name is pronounced vee-tech, exactly like you’d read the domain hack.

About this site

This site is built using Hakyll. If there’s a feature you like, it was more than likely lifted from Tony Zorman’s website. The page source is available here.

A note on LLM usage

My standard for publishing content on this website is simple: I ask myself, “Would I have enjoyed reading this?” I find that LLMs help me meet that standard as a writer in various ways. The questions that sparked my posts are mine and mine alone, but I use LLMs extensively throughout the drafting process. I find them particularly helpful for refining my ideas, reviewing literature, refining terminology, producing code for posts, and reading for grammar. However, I currently find them unhelpful for producing final copy that is up to my standard. As a result, every choice of word and turn of phrase on this site is a decision that I have personally struggled with. If I ever publish a post that is substantially LLM-written, both that post and this page will indicate its origin.
